What to do...

Well this weekend we are going on a staff retreat. We dropped the kids off last night at Nanna and Papaw's house. It was so weird going to sleep without the static of their monitors. This morning i woke up at 7:30am to the sweet baby coo's of Sam in his crib (his crib is currently in our bedroom) When I went to get him up he greated me with a big smile. SO sweet. I love it when a baby starts to smile. The smile makes the 3 o'clock feedings easier. This morning has been nice and slow. I miss the kids but we are going to take advantage of the opportunity and try to relax.

This is Sam's new bedding. (not the best picture) I love it. It is called Farmhouse patchwork from pottery barn kids. I had my eye on it for quite some time. One day we went into pottery barn kids and low and behold it was on sale 75% off. how crazy is that! The sheets have a cow and a tree embroidered on it. I love it. I love a good deal.

Deceptively disgusting. I made this meat ball soup with high hopes that it was going to be delicious. I got this recipe out of my Deceptively Delicious book. I am sure that not all of the recipes in this book are disappointing but this one was. HOWEVER, the kids and dale loved it. SO, I will make it again. This soup contains all kinds of nutritional value. I snuck in some purred vegetables like sweet potatoes and carrots. I get great joy in cooking my family healthy things that they enjoy eating. I'll try another recipe. who knows, it may be better.

Say yes to the dress. Grace and I turned on the tv the other day and the TLC show "Say yes to the dress" was on. I told grace that mommy has a wedding dress too. She was amazed that I had a dress just like the one on tv. I got my veil out and we tried it on together. Ill keep this photo it may come in handy some day.

I am excited about getting away on our retreat. The other staff wives will be there so it should be a lot of fun. I am hoping to make some new bows for grace while away. we'll see. Ill let you know how it all turns out.
